The difference between debit/credit cards and Direct Debit

Paying your bills through acasa is best done by setting up a Direct Debit. This allows us to take the correct amount of money for your bills each month, in a single, easy payment.

Direct Debit payments typically take 3-5 working days to be processed, which means you get a little extra warning when we’re about to take money from your account, too.

With debit/credit card payments, it’s possible to make payments, but we found it was more hassle for everyone, because banks sometimes rejected the card payments or required the cardholder to be present when making payments, meaning our monthly “automatic” payments weren’t very automatic! With Direct Debit, these problems don’t apply.
