When you come back online, your app will sync this data with acasa&#8217;s systems where it&#8217;s securely stored. We are then able to sync the same data with your housemates&#8217; app as well as making it available on your <a href=\"https:\/\/app.heyacasa.com\/houseshares\">web dashboard<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Occasionally, an app&#8217;s data could become out of sync, and this can cause confusing errors or out-of-date information to show up. When investigating any discrepancy, remember that the <a href=\"https:\/\/app.heyacasa.com\/houseshares\">web dashboard<\/a> reflects the exact data we have saved on acasa&#8217;s systems.<\/p>\n<h2>Clearing App Data<\/h2>\n<p>In order to clear out any data stored in the app on your phone, please follow these steps. This is even more effective than simply uninstalling and re-installing the acasa app (which can leave some data behind).<\/p>\n<h3>Android<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Make sure the acasa app is up-to-date by checking the <a href=\"https:\/\/app.heyacasa.com\/app\/android\">Play Store<\/a> for updates.<\/li>\n<li>Go to your phone&#8217;s &#8220;Settings&#8221; and find the &#8220;Applications&#8221; or &#8220;Apps&#8221; section.<\/li>\n<li>Find &#8220;acasa&#8221; from the list of installed apps and tap it.<\/li>\n<li>You should see a section (or link) called &#8220;Storage&#8221; or &#8220;Data&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>In that section there&#8217;s a &#8220;Clear Data&#8221; and\/or &#8220;Clear Cache&#8221; button. Please tap both of these.<\/li>\n<li>Open the acasa app again and log in as normal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>iOS<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Make sure the acasa app is up-to-date by checking the <a href=\"https:\/\/app.heyacasa.com\/app\/ios\">App Store<\/a> for updates.<\/li>\n<li>Force close the acasa app if it&#8217;s open (double press the home button and swipe up on the acasa app)<\/li>\n<li>Open the &#8220;Settings&#8221; app on your iPhone<\/li>\n<li>Scroll down to find the &#8220;acasa&#8221; app and tap it.<\/li>\n<li>Turn on the &#8220;Reset cache on next launch&#8221; switch<\/li>\n<li>Open the acasa app again and log in as normal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you have any trouble, you can always <a href=\"https:\/\/www.helloacasa.com\/faq\/help\/how-to-contact-acasa\/\">contact us<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How We Store and Sync Data Your acasa app saves a copy of all your home&#8217;s cost and payment data so you can view it (and even record new costs and payments) even when you&#8217;re offline.
