However, as the person responsible for the bill, you&#8217;re able to find out your own supplier. The process depends on your region.<\/p>\n<h3>Step 1<\/h3>\n<p>Use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.energynetworks.org\/operating-the-networks\/whos-my-network-operator\">this search tool<\/a> to find your energy &#8220;network operator&#8221;.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The &#8220;operator&#8221; is NOT the same as your &#8220;supplier&#8221; (who you pay for the energy), but you can only find out your supplier via your operator!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>You will need to enter your postcode in two parts (so &#8220;AA12BB&#8221; becomes &#8220;AA1&#8221; and &#8220;2BB&#8221; in the two boxes. You will see one operator for electricity and one for gas.<\/p>\n<h3>Step 2<\/h3>\n<p>If your supplier is in the list below, click the link to retrieve your details. If not, go to Step 3.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>UK Power Networks<\/strong> &#8211; use their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukpowernetworks.co.uk\/help\/who-is-my-electricity-supplier-and-what-is-my-mpan\">supplier search tool<\/a> which will email your supplier name to you.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Western Power Distribution<\/strong> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernpower.co.uk\/contact-us\/contacting-western-power\/general-contact-enquiries\">contact them<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Electricity North West<\/strong> &#8211; use their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.enwl.co.uk\/forms\/who-is-my-supplier\/\">supplier search tool<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Step 3<\/h3>\n<p>If your operator isn&#8217;t listed above, go to the website of the network operator (electricity, and gas if needed).<\/p>\n<p>Search the operator&#8217;s website or FAQs for how to find your supplier.<\/p>\n<p>This link may look like &#8220;Who&#8217;s my electricity supplier&#8221; or &#8220;What&#8217;s my MPAN?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>If you can&#8217;t find any details about that, you should contact the operator to ask for your existing supplier.<\/p>\n<h3>Other Options<\/h3>\n<p>For gas specifically, you can find your existing gas supplier by visiting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.findmysupplier.energy\/\">findmysupplier.energy<\/a> but this doesn&#8217;t work for all postcodes such as for properties without gas.
