Here at acasa HQ, the sun is kind of shining (#JustABritishSummer) and we have been hard at work on several important improvements to our iOS, Android and web apps. We’re delighted to share the highlights of what improvements we have made with you as we release our latest update for iOS, version 2.2.

Simpler navigation

We want to make the most important acasa features easier to find. To do this, we’ve simplified the navigation structure. From left to right you’ll find your Dashboard, Transactions (more on that in a minute…), Add Cost, House Settings, and Profile. You’ll soon see this structure on the web and Android as well as we want all our platforms to be consistent with each other. Everything is now more easily accessible from wherever you are in the app!

Transactions

Plenty of you have told us that the History feed could get quite cluttered with information that wasn’t of primary importance. We’ve revamped this area of the app by bringing together the History and Upcoming cost screens into a single unified list. The focus is now on what’s most important to your house: i.e. just costs and payments. In subsequent updates, this screen will be sharing with you insight into your household spending. You’ll get sobering facts like yes, your house did in fact spend £350 sharing beer and pizza during the Eurocup.

If you do want to see everything that has happened in your house, your full history is accessible from this screen too.

Settings & Profile

All your house and user settings are now more clearly accessible. We wanted to make it easier to find where you can set up new houses, invite people to acasa and send us feedback.

Anything else?

We’ve refined several other areas of the app to make the whole thing a more stable, polished experience. We have also set the foundation for a lot of great updates we have coming up in the next couple of months! See you in the next update
