That’s why we started acasa.

We see acasa as the app you use from your very first home, to your very last. In the not-too-distant-future you’ll be able to log-in and log-out of any property, and the app will manage everything in between. No more frustration – just more time to do whatever it is you love.

For us, this journey is deeply personal. Because we are the customer. We are Generation Rent.

I’ve shared 17 homes across four countries, and even fell out with a best friend when we ran into some issues using a spreadsheet to stay on top of our bills. I’ve spent hours on the phone dealing with utility companies, wanting to pull my hair out! I’ve received countless red letters through my mailslot telling me I’ve missed my water payment, when I never had known about the bill in the first place. My fiancee’s credit was destroyed by a £2 outstanding charge for her internet bill in 2008.

Running the home is still an analogue task – which is crazy when we have digital ways of running all the other most important areas of our lives. We couldn’t understand why the home wasn’t one of them, so we set out to build a platform that integrates with the various utilities and other services your home needs. Along with that, we provide the ability to track and record any other home costs, and a peer to peer payments feature so you can send and receive money whenever you want to the people you live with.

Think of it as ‘full-stack living.’ We can see the day where we’ve built so much digital understanding about the way that people live, that we’ll even be able to build them the perfect home.
